Beginning of the World

Many come to think, “How the beginning of the world was and what went on those days?” It is a very interesting story and has too many details to even process. Everything was not written down, but the important details were captured. All native people have three main printed stories which are from the Iroquois of the Northeast and two stories from the Pimas of the Southwest.
The Iroquois creation has a variety of versions. The creation of the Iroquois is a mystery and no one really knows.

“Is Google Making Us Stupid?”
8/24/09

The internet has a huge affect on almost everyone in the world. Many people depend on the internet for many things like paying bills, online shopping, or even socializing. The internet is a great invention, but many have come to think is it taking over and making everyone dumb. There is no need to put all the blame on Google because Google is just an asset to the internet. There are many things to look at when it comes to asking the question,” Is Google Making Us Stupid?” The essay that was written on this question was thorough and amazing. It touched on many factors and answered some questions. We as human beings can not put the blame on Google but also on ourselves. The objects that we have to look at are what are we teaching our children, why do we make the internet a priority, does school have a part in it, and most of all how did the new century change the way we think and our views.
Parents have a lot to do why their children choose the internet over books. Many children probably come home from school and go straight to their cell phones or the internet. Parents have control over what their child does and how they react to the internet. By reaction it I mean their children doesn’t have to use the internet as an advantage towards themselves but they should use it to benefit their education. Parents can control their child’s resources by making them go to the library like the parents used to do. Reading a book will help them more than just reading off the internet.
“Why do we as people choose something as a priority when it can only be an option?” The internet has become a priority to almost everyone in the world. Granted, the internet is a great source, but so are books and articles. The website Google is like a backup thinker. It helps many people but those same people can go out and find the answers them selves. The internet not only makes people less intelligent but also lazy.
The search engines such as Google don’t have to be a priority unless we make it. We have to try harder to strive for success without just using the internet. Back before the internet there were such things called libraries and we need to start using them more.
Schools relate more than half of the work with the internet. It is a benefit but it depicts from the picture that the children can go out and research with books. Schools have a major part in how a child can turn out. Using the internet as an only research plan is not healthy for that child’s education and success.
With all the new technology it is hard to ignore it. The internet is a great source but we can not use it to educate us. Books have been there and have not changed as a great source of information. The new century affects our ability to think to our highest altitude. With all the distractions such as cell phones, ipods, TVs, and the biggie the internet it is hard to focus. Many kids don’t like to read books but they don’t fully understand that those books can be more of an advantage than Google.
Overall the internet is a good source but has taken over the world. Many people don’t even leave their house anymore because of the internet. It is not just Google but it is the people also. We have a great amount of shame that we should stand up to. Many people tend to just blame it on the internet and the media but everyone knows they played a part. This is just my response to the essay but how do many others feel? The question still stands,” Is Google Making Us Stupid?”
